Everyday, my office receives about 50 inquiries by messages or phone. Mostly, we give some advices or answer to their inquiries. Those services are out of charge. You could contact us freely. Among them, if I think we could support their application, I would offer face to face consultation. Before, I preferred consultation at my office for people in Tokyo and suburban area. But currently, due to corona, our office has shifted to video consultation for anybody even if he is living in Tokyo. I...

As you already know, Japan will open the gate for foreigners from over the world in October except tourists. It means the government shifts their ways to “post corona” or “with corona” and put more importance on economics . Under such situation, what we need to do is following the guideline strictly in order to avoid infection. I know there are many COE holders who are looking forward to get a visa to see his/her family or to start new life in Japan. COE that was issued after December...

I mentioned the successful case from tourist visa to long term visa. Soon later, I received several inquiries about it. I explained about tourist visa before for several times, but it seems that many people still have misunderstandings. Let me make it clear today again. At first, generally tourist visa cannot be changed to any other visa without unavoidable reasons, and cannot be changed to working/ business/student visa with any reason. So if you think you could get a long stay visa anyhow...

I cannot explain all details here with the limited place and will try to point out just the basic lines. At first, tourist visa holders and refugee applicants in Japan cannot change visa status directly. Tourist visa holders, you cannot register a company by yourself. you need a business partner here in Japan who can open your...
